Eco is designed to power the growth of the Babel Universe Badges. It has no utility by itself.

To upgrade a Seed to a Sapling, a Sapling to a Tree, one must gather the corresponding amounts of Eco to power the growth.

Seed Badge + 10 x Eco = Sapling Badge
Sapling Badge + 20 x Eco = Tree Badge

Named after Italian scholar Umberto Eco(1932-2016) whose book “The Search for the Perfect Language” inspired our project from the beginning, also as short for “ecosystem” and “economics” which are the two bases of our community.
